The Noosa Community

What makes this a special place to live.

All of us here at Fiona Winter Realty love where we live. Noosa is one of the worlds most renown beaches and one of Australia’s top holiday destinations. Many people have come here to visit and never left.

Here are a few other highlights of the Noosa Community, that make it a special part of Australia, and hopefully persuade you to make it your special place.

Noosa

All of us at Fiona Winter Realty feel very fortunate to work and live right near one of the worlds best beaches and coastal regions. The Noosa Community is a world-renowned place for holidaymakers, surfers, families and business owners. Many of our clients have actually come for a short visit and have never left.

Situated on the northern tip of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, and a short 25min drive from the Sunshine Coast Airport, Noosa Heads boasts an expansive National Park right on the headland. The famous Hastings Street, Noosa River, Gympie Terrace, Sunshine Beach, Noosaville and Noosa Junction are just a small number of local attractions and areas that surround the immediate Noosa Community.

Our Sales Agents are very familiar with the area, with some of us luckily enough to grow up, or be a long time residence of this beautiful part of Australia.

Noosa Food and Wine Festival, Noosa Festival of Surfing, Noosa Jazz Festival and the Noosa Triathalon are just the tip of the iceberg for great events to watch out for. Visit theĀ Tourism Noosa website and view the full calendar of events that happen all year around. Bringing people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and even countries. They really help to show the rest of the world how unique our place of the world actually is.

Sunshine Coast Beaches

Queensland’s Sunshine Coast lives up to its name. We have relatively warm weather (maybe 2-4 weeks of the year are really cold!) year round, and a huge number of beaches to choose from. From Double Island Point to the north, and Noosa Northshore, and Noosa Heads being the most famous, you move south stretching south past Sunshine Beach, all the way down to Bribie Island.

With a concentration of the Sunshine Coast residence living in the south end of the Coast, all within 5km to the Pacific Ocean, you can imagine the variety of water sports and recreational activities that are very popular.

Living here, you can quickly see why the Sunshine Coast is such a popular place, the sheer size of the larger Noosa Community.

National Parks

Although the beach and ocean is a major draw card to the Sunshine Coast area, we also boast a huge number of National Parks and conservation areas. One of the best displays of the area’s biodiversity is the Noosa Everglades region. A short boat trip up the Noosa River, past Lake Cootharaba and the historical Boreen Point brings you to the magnificent Noosa Everglades. A variety of canoe tours and guided boat tours is the best way to see the wildlife and picturesque scenery.

The Noosa Hinterland area is just a short 15 minute drive from Noosa Heads, and has a huge number of walking tracks and mountain bike trails weaving through the semi-tropical rainforests and bush, where you will more than likely see Kangaroos, Wallabies, birdlife and if you are lucky enough, Koalas – The Noosa Community is really a special place.

Mount Coolum is also a very popular, more local place for a mountain top view. If the season is right (cooler months) you can often see whales just off the shore, on their regular migratory mission to the nesting waters off Hervey Bay.

Eumundi

Do you want a small community of artists, music producers, farmers, artisan craftsmen, growers, and restaurant owners? Then look no further than Eumundi. With the world famous Eumundi markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, you will find food from all cultures, craft from local artists, entertainment from local bands and singers, fresh local produce, and a warm smile on every face. Although the town Eumundi is small, it plays a very large part in the Noosa Community.

Eumundi is famous for the weekly markets, but for the locals, Eumundi is much more than that. With a number of great schools in the area, access to great public transport, a small community of retailers and producers, you will find that Eumundi is a great “tree change” area, that is only a 15 minute drive to Noosa Heads.

Noosa Hinterland

Stretching from the outskirts of Tewantin and Noosaville, through Tinbeerwah and Doonan, Verrierdale, Eerwah Vale, Cooroy, Weyba Downs, Lake MacDonald and the famous Eumundi, the Noosa Hinterland covers a fairly large area. This environment is quite a diverse one, ranging from paperbark swamps, semi-tropical rainforests, old growth forests and open fields, the Noosa Hinterland area is one of our favourites.

It is here that we have a majority of our properties for sale and it is here where we shine. Quite a few of our team actually live on acreage in this region and have firsthand experience in what it takes to own and maintain an acreage property.

The beauty of the region can be found in the rolling hills of the cattle farms out the back of the Eumundi area, the semi-tropical rainforests of Tinbeerwah and Doonan, and the historical Lake Weyba.

Most of the properties found in this region are small acreage, and hobby farms, but there are a few very large and impressive properties. We can help you make your life part of the Noosa Community.

“Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.”
